CULTIVATING A CURE
The Antidote Studio is a top-of-the-line non-profit recording facility located in Flint, MI. Founded by Maryum Rasool, her vision is for the Antidote Studio to “cultivate a cure” for the community in which it serves. The primary mission of Antidote is to educate and provide quality services & events to anyone who wishes to explore music from an artist, engineering, and production perspective, with the primary focus being on the youth of urban cities. The Antidote Studio also takes pride in serving the general public after-hours. For a small donation, any adult can utilize the state-of-the-art recording services that the Antidote Studio offers.

derrick poe
Engineer / Producer / Videographer
Born and raised in Flint, MI, Derrick Poe is a seasoned videographer with a decade of experience in the music industry. Over the years, he's collaborated with notable artists such as YN Jay, Louie Ray, and Rio Da Yung OG. Derrick’s work has taken him across the country and around the globe, working alongside nationwide and international artists. His expertise extends beyond the lens; he has also run Bangtown classes and worked with the University of Michigan and SBEV, showcasing his commitment to both the craft and community.

Engineer and Producer
Jujuan Thorn began his musical journey at age 10. He started as a drummer at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church and later became a percussionist and vibraphonist at Flint Southwestern Academy. In 2011, he began teaching himself piano, influenced by Eddie Brown and Jeffrey LaValley. He has since performed with artists like Tremaine Hawkins and Detrick Haddon and other Gospel Greats. He ventured into DJing in 2017 and music production in 2018. As a producer, he's received credits for working with Asian Doll, Louie Ray, Babyfxce E, King OSF, and many other artists.
Currently, Jujuan is a program coordinator for the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village and is known as a trailblazer for hip-hop in the Flint community.

Engineer and Producer
JayTheProducer is a skilled music producer and engineer with a strong foundation in the industry. He works closely with Babyfxce E, contributing to the artist's unique sound. JayTheProducer has also collaborated with a variety of notable artists, including Lil Lik, RMC Mike, Krispylife Kidd, King Ca$hes, Lul Dyl, and Lil Darius. His expertise and innovative approach to production make him a standout talent in the music world.
Marcell "Cookin up wit Fo" Wilson
Engineer and Producer
CookinUpWitFO is an entrepreneur, producer, engineer, and founder of Creators Lounge, a collaborative space for artists. Inspired by his bass-playing father, he began music production at 13. He’s worked at Indie Spot in Bay City and The Hip Hop Lab in Detroit, collaborating with Icewear Vezzo, RioDaYungOG, Peezy, and others. Now an engineer at Antidote Studio, he’s recorded with YN Jay, Louie Ray, and Babyfxce E. A trip to Tokyo expanded his creative vision. He emphasizes brand-building, patience, and consistency.
